“Tell my why.” David replies. // Salem doesn’t move for a few moments before he slowly picks himself up off the floor, heavily relying on the bed to hold himself up.

Fleur blinks at him in confusion. She gulps and slowly moves off the bed, afraid he’ll scream for help. // “I-I..I don’t want mother to punish us.” She says.

“What will she do?” David asks. // Salem moves to sot on the bed, beads of sweat breaking out on his forehead. He motions for the water, his mouth feeling like sand paper.

"Well I don't." Ethan crossed his arms.

“There’s no way of knowing.” She shakes, shutting her eyes. // She carefully hands him the water.

“What has she done before?” He asks this through gritted teeth as his patience begins to wear thin. // Salem takes the glass in shaky hands and drinks, although a fair amount runs down his chin and soaks his shirt. He keeps an eye kn her while he drinks.

"Many things, me and her are different. But you're only a human, and she wouldn't punish you." She thinks for a moment. "My name is Melanie." // She watches his throat moves as he drinks, she licks her lips and looks back up to his eyes. "I'm sorry."

Salem finishes the glass and wipes hid lips with the back of his hand. “Why?” // David raises an eyebrow, regaining some interest. “Are you not human?”

"I am..only half." She says. // "I hurt you." Fleur frowns.

David inches closer, his heart pounding in his chest. “....and the other half?” // He reaches up to place his hand on the wound, only to find it’s not there. Was it a dream? Salem looks up at her. “But I liked it?”

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Melanie says, and the wall begins to break. // "You...liked it?" She frowns.

“Who cares if I believe you?” David presses. “Tell me.” // Salem turns his face away as a florid blush flushes his cheeks. “N-no!”

Without saying more Melanie walks out of the room and into the hallway. // Fleur looks down, "Oh.."

David stands and slips out after her. // Salem takes a deep breath, feeling as if he’s talking Shiomi. “Shit.” He mutters.

Melanie stops and waits for him to lead the way. // Fleur looks to the side. “I was hoping this would be easy.”

David walks past her and out the door of the building. // Salem looks back up at her. “W-what?”

Melanie follows. // “I have to ge-get rid of you now.” Fleur sulks.

Salem cocks his head to the side. “Get rid of me? I don’t get it.” // David takes her to the bar and holds the door open for her.

“You know too much now.” Fleur clenches her fists. // “Wow, you suck.” Wyatt pokes a stick into the ground. “Do you care about anything?”

Ethan nods "I care about my family."

Salem holds up a hand and tries to stand. The room starts to spin again and he sinks back down to his knees. “Hold on here.” He says, attempting to reason. “You don’t have to do this.”

Fleur frowns. “You’ll tell someone now.” She drops down infront of him.

He shakes his head, then instantly regrets it as a headache forms. “N-no I won’t. If I told, my mother wouldn’t allow it to happen again.”

“Oh, family.” He nods.

"Family is important." Ethan explains.
