Salem swallows again. He could ruin his relationship with his mother or enjoy himself. “Nothing.” He murmurs. “Aliyah and Kaiya is just overreacting....”

AJ raised an eyebrow "I think its best if you leave with your mother today Salem. Fleur we can stay here and talk about it." AJ smiled.

"N-No, H-He's just trying to defend me." Fleur says. "I attacked him, and threatened to kill him. I'm a demon, and my body rejects other essentials besides human meat." She says. "I'm a complicated being because my mother was a demi god, and my father was a demon, basically given artificals essentials to life, so my body is...rather difficult to understand."

Salem hangs his head and suffles out the door. Before he leaves he looks back at Fleur, then walks out with a sigh.

"Demi god and a demon..." AJ sits down on the bed. "Torah and....Takumi?" Aj looked to Kaiya who gives a half nod

Aliyah heads out towards her house. "Having so soft of a heart will end up hurting you."

Salem sighs as he struggles to keep up with his mother, his mouth already feeling dry. ‘She doesn’t understand.’ He thinks. ‘It was fun, it was exciting, it was....’ he shivers. ‘Sensual.’ “Ok, Mom.”

Aliyah turns to face him. There's a frown on her face. "Look. I know you are mad that I won't tell you who your father is right now. I just want what's best for you. I'll do whatever it takes to keep my only son safe." Aliyah softly smiles "I know you can take care of yourself. But I am your mother. Let me be able to protect you sometimes." She hugs him tightly.

Salem pauses for a moment before he hugs her back, his heart melting. Am I really too soft? He thinks as he buries his face into the crook of her neck. “Thanks mom. She wasn’t hurting me. I promise.” He mumbles.

Aliyah gives a kiss on the head. "It's a shame you had to grow up on me." She chuckled. "I don't want you to end having any more scars like these on you." She points to the one on her face.

Fleur frowns and looks down, shuffling her feet. She expects death.

Salem gives her a small smile and wonders if she knows about the one on hs chest. “Ok Mom.”

"Let's go home okay?" Aliyah smiled.//"you spoke about your father being a demon and your mother being a demi goddess right?" Kaiya asked

Fleur nods. "Yes."

“Sure.” He lets go of her and starts walking.

Kaiya sighs. "They both went missing after the war. Your parents."

"I know." Fleur nods. "I've been trying to find them."

"We aren't sure if they are dead or alive. I'm sorry." Kaiya frowns. "You could talk to Tamiko. She might know about your mother at least."

Atticus walks into the old bar, and sits down. "Bartender!"

Charlotte holds up a finger telling him to wait as she makes a cocktail for another customer. Once she’s done she slides over to him and leans against the counter with hands clasped. “What would you like?” She asks. // David sits at the other side of the counter, watching Atticus.

"I want you to make a really complicated drink so I can waste your time and see you do cool tricks." Atticus smirks

“Uh huh.” Charlotte replies. She turns back to the counter and scoops a few ice cubes into the glass, places it on the counter, and fills it with rum and cola. // David narrows his eyes at Atticus.
