Coraline stands in the room. "Sounds beautiful." She says to Conrad. // Maverick stands up. "I always thought you were more of the adventurous kind."

Laya looks at the ground. "You mean, always on the run?"

"I can't afford anything here." *Lias says.* // *Conrad drops his drumsticks and stands.* "What? Huh? I wasn't doing anything!"

Blaire turns "I'll get it." She smiles

*Alexander finishes another book. He pokes his head up from the top of his book fort. He looks around the hall. Then he disappears back into his book fort. Occasionally, he’ll place a book on top of his fort, making it ever growing skyward.*

“Let’s just break the door knob off with a rock or something.” Clark replies. // Alice frowns. “Please?” He whines. I can’t be less dense if you don’t help me.”

"What are you doing?" Brent asks Alex

“Reading.” *He peeks his head through a small window he made.* “It’s noisy in the guild hall, so I made this fort. I will admit, blocking sound with books is ineffective at best but I work with what I’ve got.”

"Why not go to a library?" Brent questions

“They have that here?” *A smile slowly creeps onto his face.*

"What place doesn't?" Brent asked

“I can’t make you pay for me.” *Lias says.*

"An area without funds or the current knowledge to build a library. Or an area that is unwilling to build one. An area with too little space to a lot to a library. An area without the correct staff to maintain a library. An area without a well organized government. An area at constant war where a library would be too vulnerable to risk being built. An area where books would not be safe. An area without books. An area without a large population to benefit from a library. Need I go on?"

Brent looks unamused "you know I meant that sarcastically."//"I'm a princess remember? I can get you it." Blaire nods.

*Lias sighs.* "Fine fine." // *Audrey points at Alice.* "You're a lost cause."

"Oh you did?" *Alexander looks genuinely surprised.* "Ok then. Well I guess I should search for this library." *He starts taking down the books and putting them into his satchel, which mysteriously doesn't seem to get full.*

Coraline frowns. "So, I'm just going insane then?" // "Sure, let's go." He begins to walk down the alley. // "Kinda." Maverick says

"Your definition is much more...lively than mine." Laya explains.//"but I wanna see you wear what you pick first!" Blaire stands tall with her hands on her hips.//Brent blinked "how does that work?"

"What's your definition?" He asks.

"It's a bag I found at... The Library... It seems to let me take what ever book I need from... The Library... Plus it holds a bit of my personal items. That's about it. A personal library." *He always hesitates to say The Library. Might be a touchy subject for him.* "That's all I really know. I've tried to decipher how the magic works, but it's super complex. Only got about 25% of it down."

"How magic works?" Brent scoffs.//"survival." Laya frowns

“Well it’s not like magic is some mysterious omnipotent power. It has laws. If there are laws, there are reasons behind those laws. That must mean that there is something behind it all.” *Alexander has the wonder of a child strewn across his face.*

Clark clings to him like a koala. “Don’t you have stretchy powers too?” She asks and flicks him on the side of the head. // “No I’m not.” He insists and crosses his arms. “You’re just as lost.”

"Well, being adventurous can be both things." Maverick says. // "Yes, I also know 10 different fighting styles and 24 languages." Sean says.

“Well...shit. Why the fuck don’t you use any of that shit?” She asks.
