Salem lies back on the roof and closes his eyes. “Nope. I just wanna get drunk though.”

Ethan raised an eyebrow "and?" He questioned.

Medea rolls her eyes. "So secretive, little brother."

"Is that really surprising?" Ethan asks.

"Trying to take after ol' Skelly? He's not so secretive." Medea snickers.

Ethan looks down. "Hardly. I could care less." Ethab grumbles.

"Don't be so rough on him, he's got a real job, unlike the others who either don't, or still hang for the guild." Medea shrugs. "Besides, we've got his eyes. Or...our grandmother's eyes."

Ethan looks up "what is that supposed to mean?"

"Riiiight, I wasn't supposed to tell you this until you're older. Anyway, magic eyes run in the family. If you active it, detective's eye I think it's called, your vision becomes insanely good, and you can like zoom in and see small details. It's weird honestly, I've only been able to get it working once or twice. I don't really get it." Medea admits.

Ethan scowls. "Not like he would tell me anyway. It doesn't matter to me."

"Damn buddy, you going through a rebellious teenager phase?" Medea runs a hand across her buzzed hair.

"Oh yeah because I'm sure mom totally loved your hair cut." Ethan rolls his eyes.

"Well I'm a grown woman and she doesn't control me. You're a little teen boy and they have their hands all over your business." Medea mocks.

"Hardly. I hardly see either of them. Mom is usually helping grandma with guild stuff and dad's never home." Ethan explains

( I cringed hard core calling AJ grandma)

"Our parents are important people." Medea says.

(she better start knitting) "Well, you're not going to get that effect here." Washington chuckles. "Something bothering ya?" // Shiomi nods slowly, frowning. "I apologize, please understand."

Ethan frowns "yeah but we are their kids."

“Yeah.” Salem groans. “I found out who my father is.”

"I feel bad any time they're not off helping the city. Wasting time with us." Medea sighs. // Niram shakes his head. "Besides the point, wallowing in your own sorrow gets you nowhere."

David steps put of Charlotte’s bar and locks the door. He’s in a good mood and he whistles as he drops the key into his pocket. Today was a good day at work. David walks down the street at a brisk pace, but it slows dramatically as he notices a young woman that stands out from the crowd. She’s not weird, just much beautiful than the rest of the subservient population.

Freya is having a casual conversation with a young man, not much older than her. She's giggling and smiling and generally seems to be charming. Meanwhile, the man seems starstruck, as if he's in disbelief this is happening. He doesn't seem responsive to her much.

His gaze drifts from Freya to the man she’s talking with. David scowls in confusion and mild frustration. He is NEVER this taken or interested in a woman. He steps over and taps on her shoulder.

Freya turns her head slightly, holding a finger up to the young man to pause their conversation. "Can I help you?"

"Seriously?" Ethan growls. "Oh right you're daddy's little favourite." He rolls his eyes.
